Client meeting notes template

Client meeting notes need to survive the question "when did we agree to that?" Record which version or deliverable was reviewed, separate the client's feedback from what they actually approved, and list what still needs their confirmation. Then send it back to the client the same day.

Questions people ask

Should I send meeting notes to the client?
Yes, the same day in a client follow-up email, and ask them to reply if anything does not match what they heard. A short written record that the client had a chance to correct settles most "we never agreed to that" conversations.
Is recording client calls better than taking notes?
A recording helps you remember, but nobody rewatches a 45-minute call to find one approval. Notes that list what was approved and what still needs confirming are what people actually use. Always ask before recording.
