Turn meeting notes into minutes

Paste your notes. Start a line with D for a decision, A for an action item or Q for an open question, the same shorthand as in how to write meeting minutes. You get minutes in the same layout as our meeting minutes template, and a list of what to confirm before you send them: action items with no owner, no date or a date like "next week".

Your notes

D decision · A or A3 action · Q open question · ? said to be done, needs confirming · -> moved or handed over · a line ending in : starts a topic. A colon after the letter is optional. In action items, write the owner as initials (A DR venue 10/30), @Name, (Name) or "Name to do something", the date as "due Oct 30" or "by 10/30", and the finish line as "done when ...".

Check before sending
  • A2 Book venue for December offsite: Which Fri? Add the calendar date
  • A3 Onboarding checklist for new coordinator: No due date
  • A4 Ask legal for a review date: No owner, "next week" is not a date
  • Decision "we should probably try a second newsletter tool": Reads like a suggestion. Was it decided?
  • Needs confirming PN photos "should be sorted"

How to take notes this tool can read

You don't have to write sentences during the meeting. Tag each line as it happens and clean up later.

Budget:
D newsletter every other Thu, from 10/29
A DR venue 10/30
A: Daniel to send the Q4 budget to finance by Oct 30, done when emailed
Q cost of a second newsletter tool?
? PN photos "should be sorted"
-> A3 now DR

If the same meeting happens every week, give action items stable IDs (A1, A2, A3) and carry the open ones into an action items tracker, so next week's minutes can say exactly what moved.

Questions people ask

Does this tool use AI?

No. It sorts your lines with simple rules: lines starting with D become decisions, A becomes an action item and Q becomes an open question. It never invents an owner, a date or a decision that isn't in your notes.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you paste is uploaded or saved, so you can use it for meetings where recordings and AI note takers aren't allowed.

Why does it say "Needs confirming"?

Because the notes didn't say. An action item with no owner or no date usually doesn't get done, so the tool leaves the gap visible instead of guessing. Ask the group before you send the minutes.
