All hands meeting agenda template

An all hands meeting agenda should cover how the company did against its goals, what leadership has changed and why, one or two team spotlights, and a Q&A with questions collected ahead of time. In the notes, the Q&A matters most: record every question that was promised a later answer, with an owner and a date, and open the next all hands by answering them.

Questions people ask

What is a town hall meeting?
Inside a company, a town hall is an all hands meeting where most of the time goes to open questions from employees to leadership, often with anonymous questions allowed. In local government, a town hall is a public meeting where an elected official or council hears directly from residents. Both work best when someone writes down each question and who promised to answer it.
How is an all hands different from a staff meeting?
An all hands brings the whole company together and covers direction: results, strategy and big changes. A staff meeting usually covers one location or group and handles day-to-day matters like schedules, procedures and coverage.
Should all hands questions be anonymous?
Offering an anonymous option, collected before the meeting, usually brings out the questions people are actually asking each other. Read them out as written rather than softening them, and say plainly when you don't have an answer yet.
How often should a company hold an all hands?
Quarterly suits most companies, soon after the quarter's results are in. Fast-changing startups often hold them monthly. Whatever the rhythm, open each one by answering what was left open last time.
