Why compare meetings at all
Most action items aren't dropped on purpose. They just stop coming up. An item that nobody mentions for two meetings is usually stuck, and the owner may think someone else has it. Putting last meeting's open items first on the agenda and checking each one against what was said this time is the simplest way to catch that. What are action items? follows one item through three weeks of minutes.
Questions people ask
How does it match items between meetings?
By ID first: A3 last week is A3 this week. Lines without an ID match only if the wording is exactly the same. When the wording is merely similar, the tool lists it as a possible match and asks you, instead of merging the two.
Will it mark an item done on its own?
No. An item is closed only when this meeting's update starts with done, closed, sent, cancelled or a similar word, or the line is ticked [x]. An update like "not yet done", "will be sent Friday" or "done? Daniel still needs approval" keeps the item open and adds it to the list of things to confirm. An item nobody mentioned stays open and goes on that list too.
Does this tool use AI or upload my notes?
No. It uses simple rules and runs in your browser. Nothing you paste is uploaded or saved.
Where do I paste the result?
Into next week's agenda as the first item, or into your action items tracker. Copy keeps the tables when you paste into Google Docs, Word or Notion.
