Weekly sales meeting

Sales meeting agenda template

A weekly sales meeting agenda should cover four things in order: where the team stands against target, which deals moved in or out of the forecast, which stuck deals need help, and what the team learned from recent wins and losses. Every deal discussed should leave the meeting with a booked next step or a decision to close it. This template adds a short skill topic and ends with action items that each have one owner and a date.

Questions people ask

How often should a sales team have a sales meeting?
Weekly works for most teams carrying a monthly or quarterly number, and Monday or Tuesday morning lets the plan for the week change. Keep deep strategy on single deals for one-on-one meetings or a separate deal review, or the weekly meeting runs long.
How do I stop the sales meeting from becoming a CRM read-out?
Ask reps to update the CRM before the meeting and pull the numbers yourself ahead of time. Then only discuss deals that changed, deals that are stuck and deals where someone needs help. If a deal has a booked next step and nothing changed, it doesn't need airtime. Name those deals in the agenda you send ahead, as covered in how to write a meeting agenda.
Is a sales meeting the same as a forecast call?
Not quite. A forecast call is usually short and only about the numbers and which deals will close. A sales meeting also covers wins, losses and skills. Small teams often combine them, which is what this template does with the numbers and forecast changes sections at the top.
