A business meeting agenda for a small company should cover last month's action items, a short financial snapshot (revenue, margin, cash and overdue invoices), customers and sales, operations and people, and the decisions the owners need to make. Record each decision with who approved it, so the notes also work as minutes. This template is built for a monthly meeting of owners and key managers, held once the books for the month are closed.
| Item | Owner | Time | What we need to leave with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Last month's action items | Notes taker | 5 min | Each item done, rescheduled or needs confirming |
| Financial snapshot | Owner or bookkeeper | 15 min | Revenue, margin, cash and overdue invoices against budget, and what to do about any gap |
| Customers and sales | Whoever owns sales | 15 min | New work, open estimates, anything lost and why |
| Operations and people | Operations lead | 15 min | Staffing, equipment and safety issues that need an owner's decision |
| Decisions and approvals | Owners | 15 min | Each proposal approved, rejected or deferred, with who approved it |
| Action items and next meeting date | Notes taker | 10 min | Every item has one owner and a date |
